The plan proposes that the added value of the steel industry will grow at an average annual rate of about 4% from 2025 to 2026, economic benefits will stabilize and rebound, market supply and demand will become more balanced, industrial structure will be optimized, effective supply capacity will continue to increase, and the level of green, low-carbon, and digital development will be significantly improved.
The steel industry is a fundamental and pillar industry of the national economy, which is crucial for stabilizing industrial growth and supporting stable economic operation. To promote the stable operation and structural optimization and upgrading of the steel industry, the plan focuses on strengthening governance, optimizing supply, promoting transformation, expanding consumption, and increasing cooperation, proposing 10 specific measures in 5 aspects. For example, enhancing the supply capacity of high-end products, focusing on key steel materials needed in high-end equipment, core basic components, and other fields, organizing steel enterprises to cooperate with upstream and downstream enterprises, universities, research institutes, etc. to carry out industrial chain collaborative research and development; Promote the updating of process equipment; The overall goal of accelerating digital transformation is to promote the industry to achieve effective improvement in quality and reasonable growth in quantity.
